About RockstarSpy
RockstarSpy is an independent intel desk covering Grand Theft Auto. We track what is confirmed about GTA 6, separate it from what is rumored, and explain what it actually means for players, while keeping a working library of guides and reference entries for every game in the series.
The brief
Grand Theft Auto generates more noise than almost any other franchise in gaming. Every patch note, every blurry screenshot, every anonymous forum post gets amplified into a headline within hours. Most of it is wrong, and the rest is usually missing context.
RockstarSpy exists to cut through that. We read the source material, we check the claims, and we file a report that tells you what holds up and what doesn’t. No breathless speculation dressed up as news. No padding to fill a page. Just the intel, labelled clearly.
What we cover
GTA 6 intel
The core of the desk. We log official Rockstar communications, trailer breakdowns, Take-Two investor statements, and credible reporting, then sort each item into a clear category. If something is rumor, we say so. If something is confirmed, we tell you where it came from. If something matters for how the game will actually play, we explain why.
GTA guides
Practical, tested walkthroughs for GTA 5 story mode, GTA Online, and the classic titles from GTA III through to GTA IV and the Episodes. Mission routes, money strategies, vehicle comparisons, heist setups, and the small mechanical details that most guides skip. Where a strategy depends on a specific patch or platform, we note it.
The GTA encyclopedia
One reference entry for every mainline and spin-off GTA release, from the original top-down game to the current generation. Each entry covers the setting, the protagonist, the structure of the game, what it introduced to the series, and how it holds up now. Built for quick lookups and for settling arguments.
Other Rockstar games
A smaller section covering Red Dead Redemption, Max Payne, Bully, Manhunt, Midnight Club, and the rest of the catalogue. Lower volume than the GTA coverage, same standards.
How we classify intel
Every GTA 6 item we publish carries one of three labels. We apply them strictly.
| Label | What it means |
|---|---|
| Confirmed | Stated directly by Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive, or visible in official media. |
| Rumored | Reported by a named outlet or a source with a traceable track record, but not confirmed by Rockstar. |
| Speculation | Fan theories, trailer frame analysis, datamining claims, or inference. Interesting, unproven, filed as such. |
An item can move up a tier when new evidence arrives. It never moves up on volume alone. A thousand people repeating a leak does not make it confirmed.
How we work
We go to primary sources first: Rockstar Newswire posts, official trailers, patch notes, earnings calls, and in-game testing. Secondary reporting gets cross-checked against those before it earns a label.
Guides are written from play, not from reading other guides. If a GTA Online method stops working after an update, we update the guide or pull it.
When we get something wrong, we correct it in the open. The original claim stays visible with a note explaining what changed and why. That matters more on a site covering rumors than almost anywhere else.
Who this is for
Newcomers who want to know where to start with the series and what the GTA 6 fuss is actually about. Returning players who need a straight answer on a mission, a heist, or a money method. Long-time fans who want their rumors graded honestly instead of hyped. The voice is a field briefing: short, direct, and built to be scanned.
Independence
RockstarSpy is a new, independent site. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive, or any of their subsidiaries. We have no inside access and we do not claim any. Everything we report is drawn from public information and our own play.
