These terms explain what RockstarSpy is, what it is not, and what we expect from you while you are here. By reading, browsing or interacting with this site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, the simplest option is to stop using the site.

What RockstarSpy Is

RockstarSpy is an independent fan and news site covering games published by Rockstar Games, including the Grand Theft Auto series, Red Dead Redemption, Max Payne, L.A. Noire, Bully and related titles. We publish news, guides, cheat code lists, mod coverage, opinion pieces and analysis.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive or any of their studios or subsidiaries. Nothing we write should be read as an official statement from those companies.

Content Is for Information Only

Everything on this site is published for information, commentary and entertainment. We work hard to get details right, but game updates, patches, pricing and platform availability change frequently, and we cannot guarantee that every page is current at the moment you read it.

Always treat official Rockstar Games channels, the Rockstar Support site and your platform’s store as the final word on release dates, system requirements, pricing and account policies.

Rumors, Leaks and Speculation

A large part of Rockstar coverage involves rumors, datamines, insider claims and leaks. We cover these because readers want them, but we label them clearly.

  • Anything marked as a rumor, leak, report or speculation is not a confirmed fact.
  • A claim appearing on RockstarSpy does not mean we have verified it, only that we considered it worth reporting and attributing.
  • Rockstar Games and Take-Two have a long record of staying silent until they are ready to announce, so unconfirmed claims can and do turn out to be wrong.

Do not make purchasing decisions, pre-orders or hardware upgrades based solely on rumors you read here.

Cheat Codes and Your Game Progress

We publish cheat codes for games like GTA V, GTA San Andreas, Red Dead Redemption 2 and others. Before you use any of them, understand the trade-offs:

  • Activating cheats in most Rockstar titles disables achievements and trophies for that session, and in some games for the entire save file.
  • Cheats can block mission progress, lock out saving, or break scripted events until you reload a clean save.
  • Cheat behaviour differs between PC, PlayStation, Xbox and older consoles, and can change after a patch.

We recommend saving to a separate slot before entering any code. RockstarSpy is not responsible for lost progress, disabled achievements, corrupted saves or any other consequence of using cheat codes you find on this site.

Mods, Trainers and Third-Party Tools

We cover PC mods, trainers, script hooks and similar tools because they are a major part of the Rockstar community. Coverage is not an endorsement, and we do not host or distribute mod files.

Please be aware of the following before installing anything:

  • Rockstar Games’ policy generally tolerates single-player mods but prohibits mods and cheats in GTA Online and Red Dead Online. Using them online can result in a temporary suspension or a permanent ban.
  • Mods can crash your game, corrupt saves or conflict with each other, especially after a title update.
  • Downloads from third-party sites may contain malware. Only install files you trust, and scan them first.

RockstarSpy accepts no responsibility for bans, suspensions, lost accounts, damaged saves, hardware issues or any other outcome of installing or using mods, trainers or other third-party software. That decision, and the risk, is yours.
