CONFIRMED

Edge magazine is running a 16-page Grand Theft Auto 6 cover feature with interviews with Rockstar’s leadership and exclusive new imagery, PC Gamer reports. What we know

In an article published October 27, PC Gamer reports that Edge visited Rockstar’s Edinburgh development HQ ahead of the game’s release. According to PC Gamer, Edge spoke with the studio’s leaders and saw GTA 6 “in action.”

That visit became a 16-page cover story. PC Gamer says the issue includes exclusive new imagery, interviews with Rockstar leaders and a special gatefold cover with artwork of Jason and Lucia.

You won’t need the print edition. PC Gamer reports the full feature will be posted online for free on October 29, the day the magazine goes on sale.

The timing fits the launch schedule. Insider Gaming, reporting on Take-Two’s earnings call, says CEO Strauss Zelnick reaffirmed that GTA 6 is still scheduled for November 19, 2026. That date came from the game’s second delay. Variety reported that Take-Two announced it on November 6, 2025, moving the game from May 26, 2026. The launch covers PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. No PC version has been dated.

One housekeeping item. PC Gamer’s article text and image caption call the issue Edge #230. That looks like a typo. GamesRadar+, which shares a publisher with Edge in Future, describes it as Edge 430, as does our brief. We have not yet confirmed the number with Future or Edge directly.

What we don’t know yet

The core question has no answer yet: what Rockstar actually told Edge. PC Gamer’s report does not describe the interview content. There are no new quotes, mechanics or story details to report until the feature goes live.

The imagery is in the same position. “Exclusive new imagery” means Edge has visuals the public hasn’t seen. It does not tell us whether those visuals show anything beyond Rockstar’s trailers and its August 27 “extended look” gameplay reveal. PC Gamer’s live coverage says that reveal aired on Netflix, and Rockstar also made a 4K file available to download. Whether Edge’s material adds new locations, characters or systems to that record is an open question.

We also don’t know which Rockstar leaders Edge interviewed. PC Gamer refers only to “the studio’s leaders.”

This is the second major magazine cover in about a month. Game Informer put GTA 6 on the cover of issue 382 in September, with a 14-page story, 12 new screenshots and Rockstar interviews. Two long-form features with studio access, timed weeks apart before a November launch, look like a deliberate pre-release press cycle. Rockstar has not said so.

For readers, the takeaway is simple. The Edge feature costs nothing to read and arrives October 29. Expect it to show how Rockstar’s leadership frames the game in its final weeks before launch. Claims attributed to the feature before then should be treated as unverified until the published pages back them up.

Whether Edge’s screenshots go beyond the trailers is still unknown. We will update this file once the feature is live.

Marcus Reed runs the GTA 6 desk at RockstarSpy. His beat is everything attached to the next game: release windows, launch details, official trailers, platform plans and the steady drip of leaks that fills the gap between Rockstar announcements. He treats every claim as a question of sourcing first. A Take-Two earnings call or a Rockstar Newswire post gets reported as fact. A datamine or a tipster with a mixed record gets labeled as such. When a story shifts, he updates the piece and says what changed rather than quietly rewriting it. Readers should always be able to tell what is confirmed and what is still talk.
