GTA 6

Every GTA 6 vehicle confirmed in the trailers so far

Rockstar has not published an official GTA 6 car list, and no vehicle has an official in-game name yet. Across two trailers and the official screenshot drop, you can still identify about ten clear vehicle categories, from muscle cars and pickups to airboats, jet skis and police helicopters. This briefing sorts what is confirmed on screen from what fans have only matched by silhouette.

Last checked: this page reflects Rockstar’s official material through Trailer 2 (6 May 2025) and the 19 November 2026 release date confirmed by Rockstar and Take-Two. It is updated as new trailers, store listings and launch details land.

The short answer

You will drive cars in GTA 6. You will also pilot boats, ride motorcycles and sit in helicopters. All of those appear in footage Rockstar says was captured in-game.

What you will not find anywhere official is a model name. Rockstar’s website lists characters and regions. It does not list a single vehicle.

So when a site tells you the “Grotti Cheetah” or “Albany Buccaneer” is confirmed, read that as a fan identification. Some of those matches are convincing. None of them are confirmed.

What we know

Everything in this section comes from Rockstar’s own material: the two trailers, the screenshots and character and location pages on the official GTA 6 site, and Newswire posts. If it is here, you can see it yourself.

The official sources so far

Rockstar has released a small, tightly controlled set of material. Here is the full inventory that matters for vehicles.

Release Date What it showed for vehicles Status
Trailer 1 December 2023 (released early after it leaked online) Vice City streets, police chases filmed like TV news, boats and swamp craft CONFIRMED
Trailer 2 6 May 2025 Longer driving shots, Leonida Keys roads, more boats, character-linked cars CONFIRMED
Official screenshots and character pages Launched alongside Trailer 2 Static, high-detail frames of cars, interiors and waterfronts CONFIRMED
First release window Announced as Fall 2025 No vehicle material Moved
First delay Announced 2 May 2025, to 26 May 2026 No vehicle material Superseded
Second delay Announced 6 November 2025, to 19 November 2026 No vehicle material CONFIRMED date

Trailer 1 broke YouTube’s 24-hour viewing record for a non-music video, with roughly 90 million views in its first day. Rockstar later said Trailer 2 pulled 475 million views across all platforms in 24 hours.

Those numbers matter for one reason. Every frame of both trailers has been studied harder than almost any game footage in history. If a vehicle type existed in those trailers, the community has found it.

For a scene-by-scene breakdown of both videos, our “gta 6 trailer” briefing covers what each one revealed.

The 10 vehicle types confirmed on screen

This table is the core of the page. “Confidence” is our call on how clearly the category shows up, not a guess about the final game.

Vehicle type Where it appears What you can see Confidence
Everyday street cars Both trailers, screenshots Sedans, hatchbacks and compacts filling Vice City traffic High
Sports and supercars Both trailers, screenshots Low, wide coupes and exotics in nightlife and highway shots High
Muscle cars Both trailers Long-hood American coupes, several clearly modified High
Pickups, SUVs and off-roaders Both trailers, screenshots Lifted trucks, work pickups, boxy SUVs on rural roads High
Police and emergency vehicles Both trailers Patrol cars with light bars, chases shot from news-helicopter angles High
Motorcycles Trailer footage Street bikes in traffic and nightlife scenes Medium-high
Boats and yachts Both trailers, screenshots Speedboats, cruisers and party boats on the water High
Jet skis and airboats Trailer footage Personal watercraft at the coast, fan-driven airboats in the wetlands Medium-high
Helicopters Both trailers News and police helicopters, mostly as camera platforms High
Planes Background shots Fixed-wing aircraft in the sky, no clear piloting sequence Medium

Notice what this table cannot tell you. Being on screen does not prove you can drive it. A helicopter filming a chase could be scripted. A plane overhead could be scenery.

GTA history says most of these will be drivable, and we come back to that below. For now, “seen” is the honest word.

Everyday street cars

Traffic is dense in both trailers. Vice City’s roads are packed with ordinary four-doors, small hatchbacks and family SUVs, the kind of filler cars GTA has always used to make a city feel lived in.

The detail level is the story here. Paint shows dirt, panels carry reflections that react to neon and sunset, and cars sit at believable ride heights.

You also get visible interiors in close shots. That fits the series’ recent habit of building full cockpit views, which GTA V added to its later console and PC releases.

Sports and supercars

Exotic cars show up where you expect them in a Miami-inspired city: outside clubs, along the beachfront strip and on open highway.

Fans have matched several silhouettes to real-world supercars and to returning GTA brands. Grotti, the series’ Ferrari stand-in, is the name you will see most on fan lists.

The car people point to most is a Cheetah-style wedge. The Cheetah has been a Vice City icon since the 2002 game, so its return would make sense. It is still a community ID, not a confirmation.

Muscle cars

American muscle is all over both trailers. Long hoods, wide rear arches and aftermarket wheels show up repeatedly, often in scenes built around car culture.

The Vapid Dominator is the name most often attached to these shots. It is the series’ Mustang analogue and has been a GTA regular since GTA IV.

Several muscle cars are clearly modified rather than stock. That points to some kind of customization, but Rockstar has not described a mod shop or tuning system.

Pickups, SUVs and off-roaders

Leave the city and the vehicle mix changes fast. Rural Leonida roads are full of pickups, lifted trucks and boxy SUVs.

This matters for the map. Mud, dirt tracks and swamp edges appear throughout the footage, and you can see tire tracks and grime on bodywork.

Fan lists attach names like the Bravado Bison, Benefactor Dubsta and Annis Hellion to these shots. The Bison is a GTA V pickup, the Dubsta a G-Class-style SUV, and the Hellion a boxy off-roader from GTA Online.

Police and emergency vehicles

Law enforcement gets heavy screen time. Patrol cars with light bars chase suspects, and Trailer 1’s ending plays a pursuit through a news-helicopter lens, complete with on-screen TV graphics.

That framing tells you something about tone. GTA 6 leans hard into social media and viral footage, and police chases are presented as content people watch.

The Vapid Stanier has been the base for GTA police cruisers since GTA IV, so fan lists slot it in here. Rockstar has not named the police models or the departments operating them.

Motorcycles

Bikes appear in traffic and nightlife scenes. They are less prominent than cars, which is normal for GTA trailers.

Motorcycles have been a fixture since Vice City in 2002. There is no realistic scenario where a Florida-style crime game drops them.

Shitzu is the Japanese bike and boat brand GTA fans expect to return here. That expectation comes from series history, not from anything Rockstar has shown.

Boats and yachts

Water is everywhere in Leonida, and Rockstar clearly wants you to notice.

Both trailers show speedboats, cruisers and crowded party boats. The screenshots include waterfront shots that make the coastline look as busy as the roads.

GTA veterans immediately reach for the Squalo, a speedboat that has appeared since Vice City and was badged as a Shitzu in GTA V. It is a strong guess. It is still a guess.

Jet skis and airboats

These two belong together because they define Leonida’s two water worlds.

Jet skis fit the beach and the Keys. Airboats, the flat-bottomed craft pushed by a giant rear fan, belong to the wetlands of Grassrivers, Rockstar’s take on the Everglades.

An airboat would be a new vehicle class for the series. GTA has had boats since the top-down era, but never one built for swamp travel like this.

Helicopters

Helicopters show up mainly as camera platforms. News crews film chases, and police helicopters hover over pursuits.

That pattern sells the “everything is on camera” theme. It also confirms helicopters exist as models in the world.

Whether you can fly them is not confirmed. Every GTA since Vice City has let you pilot helicopters, so the odds are high.

Planes

Planes are the thinnest category. Fixed-wing aircraft appear in background shots, but neither trailer gives you a cockpit view or a clear piloting moment.

This is the one area where caution is warranted. GTA IV dropped planes entirely and only let you fly helicopters. GTA V brought them back.

Leonida has the airspace for planes, and the Florida setting suggests small aircraft and smuggling runs. Until Rockstar shows a pilot’s seat, treat flying planes as likely, not confirmed.

How the six regions shape the vehicle mix

Rockstar has named six regions so far. Each one implies a different garage, and you can see that split in the footage.

Region (official name) Real-world inspiration Vehicles you see or would expect
Vice City Miami Supercars, police cruisers, nightlife traffic, motorcycles, yachts
Leonida Keys Florida Keys Convertibles on long bridges, speedboats, jet skis
Grassrivers Everglades Airboats, swamp trucks, small fishing boats
Port Gellhorn Gulf Coast port towns Work pickups, rusted sedans, commercial boats
Ambrosia Inland industrial and sugar country Farm and industrial trucks, rural pickups
Mount Kalaga National Park North Florida wilderness Off-roaders, lifted trucks, dirt trails

The “expected” column is analysis, not confirmation. The region names and inspirations are official. Our “gta 6 map” briefing covers every confirmed region and landmark in detail.

What the characters tell you about vehicles

Rockstar’s character pages give you indirect vehicle intel, and it lines up with the footage.

Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos are the two protagonists, and the trailers place them in cars, on highways and in getaway situations. Our “gta 6 jason and lucia” briefing covers everything confirmed about the pair.

Brian Heder is introduced as an old-school drug runner working out of the Keys. That background points straight at boats and smuggling routes.

Cal Hampton, Jason’s friend, is described as someone who monitors Coast Guard radio chatter. Again, the water keeps coming up.

Raul Bautista is presented as an experienced bank robber. Heists in GTA mean getaway cars, so expect his missions to lean on driving.

None of these pages names a vehicle. They tell you where the game’s priorities sit.

Vehicle features you can see, but Rockstar has not explained

Some details are clearly visible in the footage. That makes them CONFIRMED as visuals, but Rockstar has not explained how any of them work as gameplay systems.

  • Dirt and grime: cars pick up visible mud and dust, especially in rural shots.
  • Tire tracks: wheels leave marks in mud and soft ground.
  • Detailed interiors: close shots show full dashboards and cabins.
  • Modified cars: aftermarket wheels, lowered stances and custom paint appear in car-culture scenes.
  • Damage: crashed and battered vehicles appear, though the trailers never show a full deformation sequence.

Here is the trap. Fan sites routinely turn these into features like “realistic fuel system” or “persistent car damage.” The footage shows the result. It does not show the system.

Agent's note

Both trailers were captured in-game on PS5, according to Rockstar. That makes the vehicle detail level a fair baseline for console versions, which is more than you can say for most pre-release marketing.

What is rumored

This is where most GTA 6 car lists go wrong. Every claim below comes with its source and our credibility call.

The named cars on fan lists

The pages that rank for GTA 6 cars list dozens of specific models. Those names come from community frame analysis: players comparing trailer silhouettes against vehicles from GTA V, GTA Online and older games.

That method is good at body styles. It is weak at exact names, because Rockstar often reuses a silhouette with a new badge or invents a fresh model entirely.

Here are the names you will see most often, with their real series history.

Name on fan lists Series history (verified) GTA 6 status
Grotti Cheetah Ferrari-style exotic; a Vice City (2002) staple, reworked in GTA V and GTA Online’s Cheetah Classic RUMOR (community ID)
Vapid Dominator Mustang-style muscle car since GTA IV, with many GTA Online variants RUMOR (community ID)
Bravado Banshee Viper-style sports car, a regular across the 3D and HD eras RUMOR (community ID)
Albany Manana Classic land yacht seen in GTA III, Vice City, San Andreas and GTA V RUMOR (community ID)
Albany Buccaneer 3D-era classic, later a lowrider in GTA Online RUMOR (community ID)
Albany Emperor Boxy sedan from GTA IV and GTA V RUMOR (community ID)
Albany V-STR Modern sports sedan added in GTA Online RUMOR (community ID)
Vapid Stanier Crown Victoria-style sedan and police cruiser base since GTA IV RUMOR (community ID)
Benefactor Dubsta G-Class-style SUV from GTA V RUMOR (community ID)
Benefactor Schafter V12 Luxury sedan from GTA Online RUMOR (community ID)
Bravado Bison Full-size pickup from GTA V RUMOR (community ID)
Annis Hellion Boxy off-roader from GTA Online RUMOR (community ID)
Shitzu Squalo Speedboat since Vice City, badged Shitzu in GTA V RUMOR (community ID)

Source grade: community and fan-wiki frame analysis.

Our call: medium credibility for “a car shaped like this exists,” low credibility for the exact name and stats.

Be especially wary of pages that list top speeds, prices in GTA dollars or handling stats for these cars. No such data exists. Rockstar has not released it, and nobody outside the studio has the final game. Any number you see there is invented or copied from GTA V.

Some lists also carry model-year labels for older classics, such as a 1950s-era Stanier. Rockstar has not dated a single GTA 6 vehicle, so treat year tags as fan labels.

Brand badges spotted in frames

Some analysts say they can read or recognize badge shapes on trailer cars, pointing to returning brands like Grotti, Vapid, Albany and Bravado.

Source grade: community.

Our call: plausible. Rockstar has used the same fictional manufacturers since GTA IV, and dropping them would be odd. But a blurry badge in motion is not a confirmation, and Rockstar has never published a manufacturer list for GTA 6.

The 2022 development leak

In September 2022, a hacker posted roughly 90 clips of early GTA 6 development footage to GTAForums. Rockstar confirmed a network intrusion and said the material was early development footage.

Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier, a reporter with a proven Rockstar track record, had earlier reported details of a Vice City setting and a female protagonist. He also said the leaked footage was genuine.

Source grade: official confirmation that the footage was real, plus a proven reporter.

Our call: authentic, but obsolete for vehicles. The clips were placeholder-heavy work in progress, and the two polished trailers have since replaced them as the reference. Any vehicle detail traced back to 2022 footage should not be read as representing the final game.

We do not link to, host or describe how to find that material.

Trailer 1’s early release

Trailer 1 leaked online in low quality on the evening before its scheduled debut. Rockstar responded by publishing the official version early.

Source grade: official (Rockstar acknowledged the leak in its own post).

Our call: confirmed, and irrelevant to the car list. The leaked copy showed nothing that is not in the official upload.

Fuel, car insurance and realism systems

You will find claims that GTA 6 cars need fuel, that damage persists between sessions, or that you need to maintain vehicles.

Source grade: anonymous or unsourced forum posts, often presented without any origin at all.

Our call: low credibility. Gas stations and convenience stores appear in the footage, but a store in a trailer does not prove a fuel mechanic. Rockstar has not described any of these systems.

Vehicle counts

Some pages promise “hundreds of cars” or give a specific number.

Source grade: none.

Our call: DEBUNKED as a claim of fact. Nobody outside Rockstar knows the count, and we will not print a number until Rockstar does.

Special and collector editions

Fan wikis and some retailers’ placeholder pages reference premium editions with bonus vehicles.

Source grade: speculation and placeholder listings.

Our call: Not announced. Rockstar has not revealed editions, pre-order bonuses or exclusive cars. Our “gta 6 price” briefing tracks what is known about cost on every platform and edition.

GTA 6 car cheats and vehicle spawn codes

No GTA 6 cheats exist publicly. The game is not out, and Rockstar has not said whether story-mode cheats will return.

Any page listing GTA 6 spawn codes for PlayStation, Xbox or phone numbers is making them up. Those lists usually recycle GTA V codes with a new heading.

Status: Not announced.

The precedent is strong, though. GTA V supports vehicle spawn cheats three ways: controller button sequences, an in-game phone number and a typed code on PC. If GTA 6 follows suit, expect a similar setup.

For reference, here are real GTA V story-mode vehicle cheats you can use today. They apply to GTA V story mode only, not GTA 6 and not GTA Online.

GTA V vehicle PC code In-game phone number
Buzzard attack helicopter BUZZOFF 1-999-289-9633
Comet sports car COMET 1-999-266-38
Sanchez dirt bike OFFROAD 1-999-633-7623
Stunt plane BARNSTORM 1-999-2276-78676
Trashmaster garbage truck TRASHED 1-999-872-433

Quick steps: spawning a vehicle in GTA V story mode

  1. Load story mode, not GTA Online.
  2. On PC, open the cheat console with the tilde key and type the code.
  3. On any platform, open the in-game phone, choose Contacts and dial the number.
  4. The vehicle appears near your character.

Heads up

In GTA V, using cheats in story mode blocks trophies and achievements for that session. Never use third-party trainers or mod menus for GTA 6 or GTA Online: they risk malware and permanent account bans.

Vehicles across the series: why the GTA 6 list will grow

Close-up front view of a white and red supercar with its headlights on in golden hour light.

The trailer list is short because trailers are short. GTA history tells you what to expect on launch day.

Game Year Setting Vehicle milestone
Grand Theft Auto 1997 Liberty City, San Andreas, Vice City (top-down) Cars and a handful of other vehicles from above
GTA III 2001 Liberty City Full 3D driving; the Dodo was the only real flyable plane, and a famously awkward one
GTA Vice City 2002 Vice City, 1986 Motorcycles and flyable helicopters arrive; Cheetah, Infernus and the Squalo boat become icons
GTA San Andreas 2004 San Andreas, early 1990s Bicycles, a wide range of flyable planes, lowriders and car mods
GTA IV 2008 Liberty City, 2008 Heavier, physics-driven handling; planes removed, helicopters kept
GTA V 2013 Los Santos and Blaine County Planes return, submarines added, deep customization; first-person driving in later versions
GTA VI 2026 Leonida, including Vice City Airboats seen in trailers; full roster Not announced

Two patterns stand out.

First, Vice City has always been a vehicle-heavy setting. The 2002 game paired its 1986 Miami atmosphere with a wide vehicle roster, from cars and motorcycles to boats, helicopters and planes. A modern return to the same city, with far more water and wetland, gives Rockstar every reason to push boats and swamp craft.

Second, Rockstar rarely cuts a vehicle class for good. GTA IV’s missing planes was the exception, and GTA V reversed it. Expect GTA 6 to keep the full set: cars, bikes, boats, helicopters and planes.

What it means

Here is how to read the vehicle picture right now.

The confirmed list is about categories

Rockstar has confirmed vehicle types through footage, not models through names. That makes “10 vehicle types” an honest summary and “50 confirmed cars” a dishonest one.

When the official list arrives, expect it from Rockstar’s site, a Newswire post, a third trailer or store-listing copy. Our “gta 6 trailer” briefing covers what Trailer 3 could show, and vehicles are high on that list.

Water is the real headline

The car talk gets the clicks, but the footage keeps returning to boats. Party boats, speedboats, jet skis, airboats, a smuggler with Keys connections and a character who listens to Coast Guard radio all point one way.

GTA V’s ocean was mostly scenery. Leonida’s water looks like a core part of the map and the missions. Our “gta 6 mapping” briefing explains how fans are rebuilding that coastline from trailer frames.

Car culture is part of the satire

Modified muscle cars, viral chase footage and car meets appear because they are part of the Florida-style culture Rockstar is lampooning. Vehicles here are characters in the social-media world GTA 6 is built around.

That suggests customization will matter. It does not confirm a specific system, and you should ignore anyone claiming to know how deep it goes.

Expect the stats to come late

Prices in GTA dollars, top speeds and handling data typically surface once players have the game. Before launch, those numbers only exist inside Rockstar.

There is also a chance of day-one tuning. Our “gta 6 launch patch” briefing tracks what is known about the first update.

The date is the only hard number

GTA 6 is set for 19 November 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. It has moved twice already. Our “release date for gta 6” briefing covers what is confirmed, and our “gta 6 delay” tracker watches every signal that the date holds.

FAQ

How many cars are in GTA 6?

Not announced. Rockstar has not released a vehicle count, and any specific number you see online is invented. Across both trailers, you can identify about ten vehicle categories, but not a full model list.

Has Rockstar officially named any GTA 6 cars?

No. Rockstar’s official site names characters and regions, not vehicles. Every model name on fan lists, including the Grotti Cheetah and Vapid Dominator, is a community identification based on trailer frames.

Can you fly planes in GTA 6?

Not confirmed. Fixed-wing aircraft appear in background shots, but neither trailer shows a player piloting one. GTA V had flyable planes, so the odds are good.

Are there boats and jet skis in GTA 6?

Yes, they appear on screen. Speedboats, party boats and jet skis show up along the coast, and airboats appear in the Grassrivers wetlands. Whether every one is drivable will be clear once Rockstar shows gameplay.

Are there GTA 6 car cheats or spawn codes?

Not yet. No cheats have been announced, and lists claiming GTA 6 codes are fake. GTA V used button sequences, phone numbers and PC codes, so a similar system is possible.

Will GTA Online cars carry over to GTA 6?

Not announced. Rockstar has said nothing about transferring vehicles, money or progress from GTA Online. Some returning names are likely because Rockstar reuses brands, but that is not the same as a carry-over.

Is GTA 6 coming to PC?

Not announced. The confirmed platforms are PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar historically releases PC versions later, but it has not committed to one for GTA 6.

Will GTA 6 have car customization?

Not confirmed as a system. Modified cars with custom wheels, stances and paint appear in the trailers, which suggests customization exists. Rockstar has not described how it works or where you do it.

Marcus Reed runs the GTA 6 desk at RockstarSpy. His beat is everything attached to the next game: release windows, launch details, official trailers, platform plans and the steady drip of leaks that fills the gap between Rockstar announcements. He treats every claim as a question of sourcing first. A Take-Two earnings call or a Rockstar Newswire post gets reported as fact. A datamine or a tipster with a mixed record gets labeled as such. When a story shifts, he updates the piece and says what changed rather than quietly rewriting it. Readers should always be able to tell what is confirmed and what is still talk.
