Stash houses in GTA Online and how to raid them

Stash houses in GTA Online are a daily freemode activity. You find the one active house on the map, kill the armed guards, and crack the safe inside for supplies for your Motorcycle Club businesses. Only one house is live each day, and the full run takes a few minutes. If you own an MC business, it is one of the easiest free resupplies in the game.

What a stash house is in GTA Online

A stash house is a gang-held property somewhere in Los Santos with drugs locked in a safe. The location changes every real-world day, so you raid a different house each time. One house is active per day, and the rotation pulls from a fixed list of possible spots.

The activity is part of the same daily cycle as G’s Caches and Street Dealers. It is not a mission and has no contact phone call. There is also no setup to buy. You show up armed and take what is inside.

Story Mode has no stash house activity. It only exists online.

Quick steps: raid today's stash house

  1. Load into a GTA Online session and turn off Passive Mode.
  2. Open the pause map and locate the stash house blip.
  3. Arrive armored, with a rifle or SMG and snacks.
  4. Kill every guard around and inside the property.
  5. Find the safe inside the house and crack it.
  6. Collect the contents to receive your reward.

The guards shoot on sight once you get close, and some are positioned inside the house. Clear the outside first from cover, then move room by room. Rushing the front door while enemies are still outside is the most common way to die here.

When the area is clear, go to the safe and follow the on-screen prompts to open it. Once it is open, grab the contents. The activity completes and the reward goes through right away.

Finding today’s location

The active house appears as a blip on your map during freemode. Since the spot rotates daily, you have to check again after each reset. If you have already completed today’s house, it won’t show up again until the next rotation.

Fan-made trackers and wiki pages list the full set of possible locations. Your own map is still the fastest source. It shows the house that is live in your game right now, while a third-party list only shows where it might be.

Agent's note

Run the stash house before you buy supplies for your MC businesses. Paying GTA$75,000 at standard price to fill a business you were about to top up for free wastes money.

What you get and whether it is worth it

The main reward is supplies routed to your Biker businesses. Those are the MC properties such as the Weed Farm, Cocaine Lockup, Meth Lab, Counterfeit Cash Factory and Document Forgery Office. You also earn RP for finishing the activity.

The value depends on what you own:

Your setup Is the raid worth doing?
One or more MC businesses Yes. Free supplies cut your operating cost
No MC businesses Low priority. The main reward goes unused
Bunker only Low priority. The reward targets MC businesses

Look at it as a supply saving, not a money-maker. It won’t compete with heist money or a solo Cayo Perico heist run. For a business owner, though, it cuts down the trips to the laptop to pay for supplies. Over a week of play, that adds up to real margin.

Tips for a clean raid

  • Go solo in an invite-only session if griefers keep finding you. The activity works in private freemode sessions, so you can clear guards without a jet showing up mid-fight.
  • Use a vehicle as cover on arrival. Park at an angle facing the guards and shoot over the hood before you go in on foot.
  • Watch the windows. Guards inside the house often fire through doorways and windows while you deal with the yard.
  • Don’t blow up the house approach with explosives you need later. Save a few grenades for clustered enemies inside.
  • Stack it with other dailies. Street Dealers and G’s Cache use the same daily cycle. A quick loop through all three is an efficient start to a session.

Platforms, versions and cheats

Stash houses run on every live version of GTA Online: PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC Legacy and PC Enhanced. PS4 and Xbox One are still supported too. Rockstar shut down online services for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions on December 16, 2021, so players on those consoles can’t access the activity.

There are no cheat codes for stash houses, on any platform. GTA Online blocks the single-player button cheats and phone-number cheats entirely. Anything online that claims otherwise is selling you a mod menu. Our breakdown of GTA Online money cheats covers why those offers never work out.

Heads up

Mod menus and trainers in GTA Online risk a permanent ban and a wiped character. Keep any GTA 5 modding to Story Mode on PC.

The real-world meaning of “stash house”

The term also shows up in law enforcement reporting across the United States. In that setting, stash houses are properties used by smugglers and traffickers to hold people or drugs before moving them. Local police and federal agencies encourage the public to report suspected sites through official tip lines.

That subject is serious and is not related to the game. If you came here for real-world reporting, the GTA Online activity has nothing to do with it. Go to official sources.

FAQ

How many stash house locations are there in GTA Online?

There are 25 possible spawn locations across Los Santos and Blaine County, and each day’s house is picked at random from them, with only one active per day. Check your in-game map for the live one instead of relying on a static list.

How often do stash houses reset?

The active house changes every real-world day as part of GTA Online’s daily activity cycle. You can raid each day’s house once.

Do I need an MC business to do a stash house?

No, anyone can raid one. The supply reward feeds your Biker businesses, though, so the activity matters most to players who own at least one MC business.

Can I do stash houses solo?

Yes. The guards are manageable alone with armor and a decent rifle. An invite-only session removes the risk of other players interfering.

Are stash houses worth it compared to buying a Shark Card?

They do different jobs. A stash house saves you supply costs at no charge. GTA Shark Cards trade real money for in-game cash. If you want to grow a business empire without spending real money, free daily supplies are the better habit.

Her money guides are built around what actually pays per hour at a given moment, not what paid six months ago, and she revises them when Rockstar adjusts payouts. Patches get the same treatment, with attention to what was fixed, what broke and what players are reporting that the official notes skip.
