GTA 6 Ultimate Edition at $99.99 confirmed in Rockstar and Take-Two press release
RUMOR
The price question is closed for US buyers. A Rockstar Games and Take-Two press release issued June 24, 2026 via Business Wire lists GTA VI at $79.99 and the Ultimate Edition at $99.99, launching November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. UK and European prices circulating in guides remain unverified.
What we know
Rockstar and Take-Two confirmed two editions in the June 24 press release. The Standard Edition costs $79.99. The Ultimate Edition costs $99.99 and, per the official description, adds an exclusive collection of premium vehicles, weapons, apparel and action across Jason and Lucia’s story.
The same release confirms that purchases made before November 20, 2026 include the Vintage Vice City Pack. Digital pre-orders can begin pre-loading on November 12, 2026. The physical version contains only a download code inside the box and is also available from November 12.
Rockstar Newswire announced on June 18, 2026 that pre-orders would open June 25 on digital storefronts and at select retailers.
The date has held. CEO Strauss Zelnick reaffirmed November 19 in Take-Two’s fiscal 2026 earnings report on May 21, 2026, and Take-Two did so again in its August 2026 update, according to Insider Gaming. The only announced platforms are PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Earlier claims of a $100 base price, or of Deluxe, Premium or Collector’s tiers, do not survive contact with the official announcement. The press release names two editions and nothing else. Pricing and pre-order speculation that circulated on Reddit in May 2026 was likewise overtaken by the June 24 release.
What is rumored

UK pricing is where the paper trail thins. eTeknix, a secondary aggregator, reports £69.99 for Standard, £89.99 for Ultimate and a £20 upgrade path. It cites an iGameMag launch guide from mid-October 2026, which in turn points to PlayStation and Microsoft store listings rather than a Rockstar statement. The press release this desk located gives US dollar prices only. RockstarSpy has not verified the UK figures against the PlayStation Store UK or Xbox Store UK.
tech-insider.org, an unknown aggregator that repackages other outlets’ reports, lists £69.99 for the UK and roughly €69.99 for Europe. It attributes both to TechJuice, not Rockstar, and marks them “not confirmed” on its own page. Its US prices do match the official release.
Insider Gaming, as relayed by Gulf News, spotted an April 2026 Xbox store listing showing GTA 6 at £89.99, along with a reported PC Rockstar Launcher code at £60.99. The listing itself was accurately reported. The reading that both were placeholders was commentator inference, and the official reveal later set different US prices. No PC version has been announced, so the £60.99 figure has nothing official to attach to.
What we don’t know yet

Rockstar has not published UK or European prices in any source this desk can verify. As of October 23, 2026, there is no Rockstar announcement of a PC version, a PC date or a PC price.
The full contents of the Ultimate Edition beyond the official one-line description have not been itemized in the press release.
What it means

For US players, the answer to the headline question is yes: $99.99 for Ultimate is real and comes from Rockstar and Take-Two directly. The $79.99 Standard price is also official.
Anyone outside the US should treat local prices as provisional until they appear on a storefront they can check themselves. The UK numbers are plausible and consistent across several aggregators, but every one of them traces back to secondhand reporting.
Take-Two is guiding $8.0 to $8.2 billion in fiscal 2027 net bookings, which tells you how much rides on November 19 holding. So far, it has. PC players are still waiting on a first announcement.
